Our Mission

To promote self-sufficiency through increased production of Marine and Aquaculture products, and to develop the fishing industry and implement measures to ensure its sustainability.

This includes:

• Modernization of the fisheries infrastructure  and fishing vessels;

• The use of improved fishing gear and methods;

•   Regulation of fishing gear;

•  Protection of marine biodiversity;

• Regulation of other marine based activities  so as to mitigate negative impacts on the

     fishery sector and ensure the overall  educational advancement of fishers;

•  Development of appropriate fresh water marine aquaculture programs
